Building upon the existing Cairn sink product line, this expansion provides apron front options across all material sets offered by Kohler Co. The Cairn Apron sink is a unique two-piece Neoroc design with an integrated accessory rail for a towel hook. Available in Standard and Decorative options which brings an unexpected design detail into the kitchen interior.

The Cairn Apron project has two facets, the apron design itself and the decorative texture options. Innovative sink designs often come with a myriad of manufacturing constraints to work around to obtain desired geometry. Working with Kohler Co.'s composite material (Neoroc), the challenges are derived from common injection molding processes and necessary draft angles. This is largely what led to the two-piece direction. Utilizing the material capabilities gives us the unique design that boasts added functionality and virtually endless aesthetic potential.
Within the nearly infinite world of textures, inspiration can be found virtually anywhere, both micro and macro. Nature, textiles, and architectural details were used to create many of the decorative design concepts. Decorative designs give a very tactile and visual experience in the kitchen. The two-piece geometry allows the product to remain in a timeless state or be driven by interior trends.
