Process Snapshot
The expansion of Kohler's offerings in the kitchen product space led to the beginning of the garbage disposal project. A new shell design was needed to house two different size motors and fit within the supplier's established automated assembly processes.
Form exploration included a few different aesthetic directions targeting minimal shapes, housewares, and rugged utility. The final result kept Kohler's design DNA while conveying power and durability with its design geometry.
